Adoption Updates

Now and then we get photos of a few of our new happy families. Here are a few pics of some Bill Foundation alumni with their new parents. When we see photos like these, we know it is all worthwhile.

Congrats to all -- a long and happy life.

Riley's new mom, Rebecca wrote to tell us all about Riley's new life. Pictured to the left with Caitlin, "The Bus" (his nickname) is a perfect fit for the Stoner family. Riley loves to go to the park and loves to show off for his new family often following Caitlin up the ladder to sit on top of the play structure. A devoted dog, he never travels far without Caitlin by his side while making sure the rest of the family is always in view.

Blackie (formerly Felix) pictured here with his new mom and dad is in seventh heaven. Lourdes, a nurse, works nights while her husband, Bill, works days so Blackie is never alone. And to boot, he has found a wonderful playmate in Nissa pictured here in her Star Wars costume (just kidding, couldn't resist - she is so very cute). Definately a lucky dog.

Top dog Ollie joined his new family of big dogs after being a foster in the same home several months. Injured twice, this fiesty little dog lets nothing get him down. He was recently adopted by his foster mom, Noreen. This is Noreen's first "little" dog after years of owning only larger rescues. However, don't tell Ollie we called him "little" he is a big dog and definately leader of the pack.

Connor is also doing well in his new home after a rocky start. Judi tells us he spent his first week hiding in the upstairs bedroom but is now becoming more playful & socialable. He is also more relaxed and less clingy. Although, he does seem to be a ladies man and appears to love every woman who comes his way. Judi says it feels like we have had him for years instead of only a month.

Jack's new mom, Shannon, is happy to report that he has adjusted nicely to his new home. Jack (formerly Neville) and his new sister, Lulu, have been inseparable. Jack is learning how to better walk on a leash, sit, come, and stay. Jack wanted to thank TBF for putting so much effort towards finding him the perfect home.

Zachary (formerly Dudley) is pictured here with his new mom, Lee, and new best friend, Jessie (the Boston Terrier). Zachary and Jessie are inseparable and the best of friends. The family lives in Alta Dena and includes moms Lee & Tracy, Jessie and 12 year old Sheltie, Heather, who quite often has to keep the boys in line. Some of you may recall that Zachary came to us with a broken pelvis but we are told his recovery is more than complete and he spends mornings hiking the canyon. Their house if filled with love, happiness and an incredible number of dog toys!

Vito, on the right in mom Bette's arms, has fit quite nicely into his new home. In fact, he has taken over his new little family. Larry tells us that Vito can be quite bossy and considers himself to be in charge of one and all. He is also best buds with Thunder. We also found out that his name has changed again, it is now Nicky, which he doesn't mind at all. His parents call him a jewel of a dog and he gets an A+ in housebreaking. Way to go Nicky!
