Special Valentine’s Theme
Adoption Event
This Valentine’s Day Weekend, Bill Foundation is having a very special “Have a Heart” adoption event. Sunday, February 15th we’ll be at Healthy Spot (11110 Wilshire Blvd., Santa Monica, healthyspotla.com) from 11:00am until 3:00pm, highlighting some of our harder-to-place and special needs dogs.
Our dogs come from the shelter. They come from the street. They come from empty apartment buildings. Lost. Abandoned. Scared.
It’s almost impossible to know where these were before they became a part of Bill Foundation. But the second they become a part of the Bill Foundation Family, we make them a promise that we will find them the very best home.
Some of our dogs are placed within a week. Two weeks. A few months. But some of our dogs have been waiting a little bit longer for their forever home.
Maybe those dogs are older. Maybe they need to be placed with another dog. Maybe they need an adult-only home. Maybe their one drawback is that they’re a little too big, a little too shy, a little too plain.
But every one of them deserves their Happily Ever After. And we will wait with them for as long as it takes.
There’s Timmie & Glinda, a pair of Chihuahuas who are our own Romeo & Juliet – separating them would have tragic consequences. We need someone who room in their heart (and their house) for this pair.
There’s Nona, a gorgeous German Shepherd who is our own Cowardly Lion, scared of her own shadow. We need a patient and gentle soul to give her courage.
There’s Jimmy, a senior poodle who doesn’t need a large yard, but a large lap to cuddle up on 24/7.
There’s Jax, a young pit bull, who is sweet but scared. He needs someone to work on building his confidence.
They might not be right for every person, for every family, for every couple. All we ask is that you “Have a Heart” and take a look.
