Art for Arf's Sake
An Evening to benefit
The Bill Foundation

It was a dog's night out as The Bill Foundation and a few special pups put on the dog in Beverly Hills at the Vendome Gallery for an evening of art to benefit The Bill Foundation. Vendome Gallery, known for its ecclectic avant garde collection, hosted the event on
December 9, 2002.

The soiree lasted from 6pm to 10pm at the Beverly Hills boutique gallery.  Invited guests crowed in to view the art and for a chance to meet some of the TBF dogs. Much to our surprise and delight a few of the TBF alumni also attended the party. A few of the TBF volunteers brought in their foster dogs to mingle with the guests.  Axel, who has since been adopted, enjoyed the evening and meeting new friends, although I think the hors d'oevres got quite a bit of his attention. Daisy, a beautiful blonde King Charles Spaniel, delighted everyone with her charming demeaner and abundance of kisses.

A portion of monies made on all art sold that evening were donated to TBF by The Vendome Gallery. Invitees were also very generous and many sent in donations as well. The evening helped raise funds for the 60 dogs now under the care of The Bill Foundation.

Printing services for the very cool & trendy invitations were provided by Annie Goldstein of A&M Fastprint on Sunset.  She became a friend of TBF while searching a St. Bernard puppy. While TBF did not have one at the time, Jo Forman was able to point Annie in the right direction and she ended up adopting the perfect puppy at North Central Shelter.

Thanks to all the foster moms and TBF dogs who participated in the evening and a special thanks to Nikki Volchek, our new fundraising chairperson, for arranging the event.
