Bonjour, Beatrice
Meet Beatrice, once considered unadoptable by the shelter because of her age (they had her listed at 15 years old, BF felt she
could not be over 10 years old); now an international jet-setter who travels to France and Italy. What an incredible happy ending and seriously, a miracle.
We received a quick note as well as some photos from the traveling duo.
Jo and the gang,
I have been traveling with little Beatrice and she loves it. It was a
wonderful experience for us both - she slept the entire flight from New York to Paris and didn't have any jet lag!! She adapted quite happily to her new surroundings-she especially loved the big hotel
beds where she could stretch out!
We spent two months in Paris, France and Italy - she was quite the celebrity there - the Belle of Paris and Italy - everywhere we went
she attracted attention. The French and Italians were completely charmed by her - it especially seemed the men had a soft spot for her. The French and Italians LOVED her and would always take
pictures of her, want to pose with her, and such. She loved meeting new French "fur friends," as we called them, and seemed to even understand French. Amazing!
In France and Italy you can take dogs into restaurants and everywhere. We both especially liked being able to go into any restaurant where Beatrice was always welcomed
and treated like a little princess - sitting at the table in her own chair. It was wonderful.
Beatrice visited the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, the Loire Valley, took the subways, visited the famous Paris flea market, Clignacourt, where she now has her photo hanging
on one of the antique shop walls. She charmed all the antique dealers as they took her picture.
While in Italy, we took trains to Venice and
Florence. Beatrice even had to have her own train ticket. She was the center of attention where ever we went - everyone stopping to pet her and
take her picture. She handled it all in stride, as we couldn't walk down a street without people wanting to touch her. Language was never a barrier - the love of our pets is universal. We are
looking forward to going back soon!
I hope all is good for you. Best always - K + Bea
