Bringing Home a new Dog

With the 2006 already here, we wish to thank everyone who has helped us over the past year by volunteering their time, participating in our fundraisers and to those who adopted a Bill Foundation dog.  If you decided to adopt a dog this past holiday season please remember that a dog is not a toy or a surprise gift. This is a decision best made by the whole family.  Give your new dog plenty of time to acclimate to their new environment, and make sure the younger members of the family understand that a puppy or grown dog is a living creature and not a toy. Your dog wants to spend the holidays with you and with a little common sense it can be a merry one for all.

We offer advice on introducing a new dog into your home on our website (see website advice) and also feature a story in this newsletter issue on bringing home a second dog (read all about it).
