Walk for the Underdog

Bill Foundation recently participated in the first annual Walk for the Underdog which was held on the beach by the Santa Monica pier. There were over 300 walkers who came out in support of animal rescue.  Bill Foundation set up a booth and brought several of our rescues to participate in the city wide event. There were also pet store booths selling fabulous items for pets, snack booths to keep everyone energized as well as animal information areas.  Over 20 vendors and 20 rescues participated in this first time event. There was entertainment on a main stage where four bands played during the day drawing a crowd to the area. There was a great silent auction and a chance to mingle.  California weather came through and it was a lovely day to walk on the beach.  The walk started out at the Santa Monica Pier and then went through Palisades Park, totaling about 1.9 miles.  For those dogs choosing not to walk, there was plenty of food and fun at the event site.  The day ended around 4pm.  It was an overwhelming success and Bill Foundation was proud to be part of the day.
